A Year of Expansion, Engagement, and Global Impact

In January 2026, the Tourism Promotion Organization (TPO) officially released its 2025 Annual Report, presenting a comprehensive overview of the organization’s achievements, institutional development, and global engagement over the past year.

Expanding the Global Network

The report highlights the addition of 18 new member cities and institutions, further strengthening TPO’s international footprint. In 2025 alone, TPO hosted eight official meetings with 753 participants, reinforcing governance mechanisms and policy dialogue among member cities.

A Landmark Global Gathering

One of the year’s defining moments was the 1st Global City Tourism Summit, which brought together over 1,200 participants from 51 cities. The Summit underscored TPO’s growing role as a global platform for city tourism cooperation and policy exchange, significantly elevating its international visibility.

Building a Stronger Foundation for Cooperation

The 12th General Assembly played a key role in strengthening TPO’s organizational foundation and clarifying its long-term direction. The meeting provided an opportunity for members to discuss future priorities and introduced forward-looking initiatives, including the Green Horizon Platform, which promotes sustainable and climate-conscious tourism cooperation.

From Network to Action

The Annual Report also outlines a 400% increase in joint projects among member cities, reflecting deeper and more practical inter-city collaboration. In parallel, TPO’s digital outreach expanded significantly, generating over 400 media visibility outputs and strengthening global engagement.

Beyond these figures, the report provides insights into:

• Expanded membership benefits and cooperative opportunities

• Institutional restructuring and governance enhancement

• Youth and capacity-building programs such as K-CLIP and M-CLIP

• Strategic directions for sustainable tourism and digital promotion

For member cities, the 2025 Annual Report offers a clear perspective on how TPO’s expanding network translates into tangible opportunities for collaboration, visibility, and global engagement.

The full report is now available on the TPO website. We encourage all members to explore detailed achievements and strategic directions shaping the next phase of TPO’s growth.
